Kathmandu, 9 January: On the day UCPN (Maoist) central committee meeting decided to change the goal of agitation to nationality its chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ said that India wanted Dr. Baburam Bhattarai to become the next Prime Minister, reports Nepalipatra daily. The statement has given a new color in the party. Bhattarai, who is also the vice chairman in the party, said that it was an act of assassinating character. According to a source, Prachanda said he had no such ill intention.
He added that the copy of the record could be sent to lower committees. A high level Maoist source said that Prachanda had asked veteran leaders to listen the record of the speech if they had misunderstood this as an attempt to create dispute in the party. Any committee interested in listening to the record can ask for it from the leadership. Who is the Indian infiltrator trying to increase internal dispute in the party? Who has brought out the recorded tape? Investigation will be carried out.
The source informed that the tape came out of Federation of All Nepal People’s Cultural Internal Training Programme. An investigative committee has been formed constituting of Federation’s joint coordinator Matrika Pokharel, Balram Timilsina and three members.
